So finally I start blogging...

Dear All,

I have been thinking since long to share something special on bauxite, alumina and aluminium. Now, I think the moment is here.

A number of assignments for dozens of companies spanning across continents has definitely taught me a lot in the field. And they say, sharing knowledge actually adds to it.

I love technical discussions on issues related to hydrates & aluminas; it's a pleasure for me. I am willing to publish technical articles of unique nature describing solutions for complicated  issues in precise and simplified manner for easy understanding. My primary aim is to guide the younger generation in building their confidence in design, engineering, execution and operational skills. I promise to share genuine, authentic and accurate data / information originated, developed and tested by me in many plants.

The blog title has been finalized as "ALUMINA TECHNOLOGY" and the content sheet of Published Articles will cover all relevant topics in alphabetical order starting with 'Alumina' and ending with 'Technology'.

Looking forward to a good blogging experience and learnings from your valuable comments.

Regards.

Kunwar Rajendra

  1. Dear Sir,

I am currently a student starting a design project for a bauxite to alumina refinery and was wondering if you would be able to advise me on any future queries I may have.

If that is possible, will you please kindly email me at marsh_trach@hotmail.com?

    Thanks for your time.

    Sincerely,

  3. Dear Sir,

I am a 4th year student studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Western Australia, Perth. The purpose and topic of the project is to produce a detailed engineering design of an alumina refinery (from bauxite to alumina, excluding red mud treatment).

    Thank you for your time.

  4. Hi Marsh,

Thank you for your prompt response. In my opinion, the content published on my blog itself should be sufficient in meeting your project requirement. You will not find such information in any published literature available till date specifically on alumina. Earlier days, people used to keep all data / information locked in their table drawer and hence it was difficult to get any reference document. Even today, people of older mentality are reluctant to talk on the subject. Probably, they feel that they are the masters (which may not be true) in the field about which others are not aware of. My blog has opened the eyes of such professionals and thus they are coming forward in sharing their views.

Truly speaking, I also do not share the data / information of proprietary and confidential nature and never advise any body to do so. However, as a professional, we should exchange our views for enriching our knowledge - that is the basic motto. World is one and there should not be any knowledge sharing boundary among the professionals of the World.

Let us hope that the scenario will change soon with awareness among the people of the World and advancement in communication technology.

    Good luck.

  7. Dear Sir,

I discovered your blog today and I would certainly comment that it is informative. I wish many more articles would follow.

I am a civil engineer by qualification but I am working on a greenfield alumina project as a Project Manager. I thought of taking your help but later on realised that it would be a conflict of interest. However, the articles posted by you cover wide spectrum of alumina refinery and I am benefited by them.

    Thanking you,

  8. Hi Mr. Vikas,

Thanks a lot for appreciating the various articles posted on my blog. You may find many interesting information which are rarely available in any published literature as I have shared my extensive personal experience in the field. Because of my personal limitations, I never share any data / information which are confidential and proprietary in nature and never advise to do so.
Let us hope that we will meet on a common platform and discuss many things of mutual interests.
I know your company but just came to know that you have the team for Alumina refinery projects also.
Wish you good luck for your success on every steps of your life and project as well.
    Kind regards.

  9. Dear Sir,

In India I have rarely come across experts from industry who write and disseminate knowledge with so much passion and clarity. Unfortunately, many of the technical experts have poor writing skills and moreover they do not upgrade themself. However, you are different.

It was such a joy to discover your blog. All your articles are useful pieces on the process engineering. I am thankful to you and I confess that I am enriched by reading your articles.

Last but not the least, we would definitely meet someday.

    Thanking you,
